2010 Young Artist Showcase Winner

(Winning Entry:"The People Who Make Me" by Bianca Nicola)

The winner of the 2010 Maui Young Artist Showcase was announced at the Culture & Arts Day Celebration on April 11, 2010 at Maui Community College.  Seventeen year old Bianca Nicolas's winning entry "The People Who Make Me" took top honors with this year's theme of "Your World."  Her art will be sent to the Sister Cities International Young Artist Showcase to be entered in this year's competition.  Bianca is a student at Maui High School.  

Since 1988, the Sister Cities International Young Artists Showcase has encouraged youth from around the globe to consider the honorable mission of Sister Cities International and express their interpretation of that mission promoting peace through mutual respect, understanding, cooperation through one individual, one community at a time.  Hundreds of artists have shared their talent with the sister cities community over the past 20 years.
