About the 2010 Maui Sister Cities Youth Art Showcase
The Maui County Sister Cities Foundation proudly announces that entries are being sought for the 2008 Young Artist Showcase.  This year’s theme is “YOUR WORLD”.

This year, one piece of Maui art will be chosen to be displayed at the 22th Sister Cities International Annual Young Artist Showcase in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA.  In previous years, art from some of Maui County’s 23 Sister Cities have also participated in the display of young talent. Two year’s ago entry from Sarrat, Philippines was selected as one of ten winning entries by Sister Cities International and and Last year's winner was from Quezon City.

When is the Entry due?
Send or deliver entries by 4PM March 14, 2009 to the
Maui County Business Resource Center. 
 Maui Mall, across from IHOP.  Entrees received after 4 pm on April 4 will not be judged. Each entry must be sent with a completed official entry form, which is being delivered to all schools and can be picked up the Maui County Business Resource Center at the Maui Mall. If you know someone who might be interested in participating, please let them know the entry form is available right here, online at http://mauicountysistercities.org/.

Award Presentation: April 11th at the Maui County Art & Culture Day.
All entries will be displayed at the Art & Culture Day on April 11 at Maui Community College. The winning artist will be presented with a prize of $300. Entries will be displayed at the Maui County Business Resource Center at the Maui Mall from March 15 to April 9. Maui’s winning entry will be announced by press release on or about April 12, 2010. The winning piece of art will be sent to participate in the Sister Cities International contest and if chosen as an international winner be on display during the 2010 Sister Cities Conference in Albuquerque, NM. .
